Crocoite

I have been collecting rocks and minerals for over 55 years. My first introduction was a gem sampler from a visit to the Museum of Science. The natural beauty of their shapes and colors have always fascinated me. On a trip to the Harvard Museum of Natural History and while exploring the Earth and Planetary Sciences Gallery, a room that I could spend the whole day at, the mineral Crocoite was on display. I was so inspired by it that I wanted to create my version. Materials used: Foam Board Insulation, thinset, paint, band-aids and lots of stained glass
