My work reflects themes of development, transformation, and independence, and is based on a lifetime of experiences in people development. I am drawn to the natural beauty of stone, with its inherent flaws and imperfections. Much like the intricacies found in individuals, these characteristics provide a unique opportunity to create stories with these themes. Going to Pieces embarks on a journey from stability to fragmentation and transformation. The composition's foundation symbolizes stability and solidity. As the narrative progresses, moments of upheaval and uncertainty occur resulting in fragmentation, disguised in normalcy. Finally, elements of gold emerge symbolizing resilience, transformation, and value from moments of upheaval.
