Homage to Carousel

The work of the many talented European carvers of carousel animals has always enchanted me and I decided a mosaic interpretation of these impressive characters was in order. Although representing a man-made object, the challenge was to create, two dimensionally, the feeling of drama and excitement these carved and painted chargers brought to their place on the carousel.
