Beneath the Surface

'Beneath the Surface' : I hope the title gives viewers a starting point for thinking about the idiom, "the tip of the iceberg". Icebergs are beautiful, their colors deeply satisfying and harmonious and this is one of the reasons I chose to create this mosaic. An iceberg may also be perceived as a harbinger of our environmental future due to global warming. The normally unseen part, beneath the surface, represents something larger and more complex that is not yet fully realized or understood.
