Sometimes an image causes me to hear music. That is always the case when I see images of Alberta Hunter or Mahalia Jackson.
Here I wanted to pay tribute to Alberta. For me, she is still singing almost 40 years after her death. The piece was created using the direct method, using smalti, shale, mirrored tile and dinner plates.
